Hey All, for my first Brown Ale I wanted to add some nuts to the bill to add their character to the beer(think Abita Pecan). I was wondering what nuts, or mix of nuts, and what methods you use that anyone has found effective or tasty? I'll be brewing an extract or partial mash recipe, not positive which yet.

A local brewery made a delicious imperial brown ale with cashews. I would say to crush them and add them to the end of the boil, as well as secondary. I'm not sure how much to use. Maybe you could mash with them also?
