I know this is probably a newb question, but I was hoping someone could help me out anyway. I am expanding my brewing to all grain and have one batch successfully in the books. I had some help with the recipe and ingredients, which is why I am needing some help with the conversion and whatnot. I found the recipe below that supposedly is close to a Surly Cynic clone. My problem is that I dont really know how much beer that is supposed to make. My last all grain batch used close to 13 lbs to make 4 gallons. With only 5.92 lbs of grain, that seems very small to make a 5 gallon batch. Do you think I should double the ingredients in order to get 5 gallons?
Again, any advice/help would be MOST appreciated.
Cynic Clone
4.00 lbs Bel Pilsner (2row) 67.57%
1.10 lbs Aromatic malt 18.58%
0.82 lbs Flaked Oats 13.85%
5.92 lbs Total
0.25 Columbus Hops for 60 mins
0.30 Styrian Goldings Hops for 20 mins
0.30 Styrian Goldings Hops for 7 mins
Belgian Saison (Wyeast labs 3724)
