So, I had drained the last of a keg into a one-gallon fermenter to do a small experiment. I like the result, but it's quickly going flat. Would it be possible (or even worth it) to recarbonate it using something like fizz drops?

Although I'm really unsure if there's any viable yeast in it.

So even though it's been chilled in the keg for quite some time, the yeast will come out of hibernation with the introduction of additional sugar?

Generally, yes. Yeast survive better in the cold.

If you are really concerned, you can sprinkle a little dry yeast in as you bottle as a backup plan.
