I learned that lesson when we had a rat infestation a few years ago. I went to the hardware store and bought every different type of rat trap they had. I caught a rat with each different type too. The worst was the sticky trap. I came downstairs in the morning to a dying, squealing rat glued to a board. Makes the most horrible noise. I much prefer the BlackCat plastic jaw traps. They set with one hand without having to put your fingers in the jaw and the bait cup is inserted from the bottom. Definitely the easiest to use and I got two rats with that trap. We caught 6 all total in the course of 3 days.
