Their bottled offerings are pretty standard. Worth grabbing some if you haven't had them, but if you only have a limited amount of take home space try a bunch of stuff on tap and skip the bottles.
Yeah, I haven't known the red sours to be particularly better or worse, just the base beers aren't super interesting. They are solid and well made, but not something most sour people would get too excited over.

Any TB'ers here that are local to Rare Barrel available to trustee?

My friend and I split a RB membership and have 12 bottles accumulated from this year. However, our current trustee lives in SoCal and only travels up to the Bay Area sporadically to visit family. Any help would be greatly appreciated, even if short-term.

Cheers!

You can have your box shipped to your So. Cal. trustee as well. That's what my trade partner does, and then I ship to him.

Looks like this is coming back next week -
HOME, SOUR HOME
Available in the Tasting Room June 13th
Golden Sour Beer Aged In Oak Barrels With Peaches, Cinnamon, and Vanilla Bean

I'm digging that they are bringing back their more successful brews (Ensorcelled, HSH, and hopefully Map). The first two were Founders releases, but second batch are public.

I like that they're doing it and making an absolute fuckton of bottles. I don't want anywhere near 24 bottles of Home Sour Home, but I'm glad that I know I can get whatever I want (read: what my wife wants).

Home Sour Home?

If so, last year it was a limit of 2 per founder's membership.
Yep Home, Sour Home. It was my second favorite release from last year. Not sure I will be getting 24 bottles of it however.

I was able to try that HSH this past weekend and it was damn tasty. i can see why some say it is their best beer.

In the past if you told me you were going to brew a sour but with a little maltiness to similate a pie/cobler thing going on I would have turned it down. Beers like Windowsill and HSH definitely made me reconsider.

I thought Soliloquy was drinking pretty solidly at Firestone as well.

I would have bought none at $30, just like I passed on Ensorcelled, but I am buying 4 or 5 of these home sour home now. Funny how just $5 changes my mind.
I'm hope they are moving away from the $30 for previous club releases. I also hope that one day the extras from current releases can be lower than $30.

I think they'd find that they sell more and make more money if they sold bottles at any price with a 2 at the beginning instead of a 3. I would be much more likely to buy one more bottle, or any bottles at all for a 28 dollar beer than a 30 dollar beer. It's stupid I know but I'm just being real with myself. Humans are weird like that.

Although, for this beer in particular, I would probably spend $30 :/ The Bruery make 30 not seem so bad while degarde's got me all like

Anyone not getting 24 bottles of Home Sour Home, I know a guy (hint : Me) who would buy/trade for a couple.
