I gouged my arm wide open tonight trying to break open a block of frozen tortillas. Went to the ER. Got FIVE Novocaine shots... ******* worst experience of my life.

Anyway, as the doc was stitching the thing shut, she ******* pricked herself with the needle. Unsurprisingly, this is apparently kind of a huge bummer in a hospital setting. Added another hour to my visit because the lab had to do all sorts of blood tests, before which I had to sign a bunch of acknowledgment type forms.

But before I signed them, the lab tech went off on this whole speech about how I have the right to refuse a blood test for this kind of thing. My question to you seemingly logical people is this: why would anyone refuse such a thing? How big of a sociopath would you have to be? Especially since it was made abundantly clear in the paperwork that these tests would not cost me a dime.
