Not 31 gallons?

The barrels used by the big commercial distillers are 53 gallons - that's the standard size. Smaller craft distillers sometimes use smaller barrels - 15 or 30 gallons often.

Fwiw: That's an aircraft carrier sized dry dock. Note the little cranes beneath the bridge crane. Those little guys are several stories tall.

The original Enterprise NCC-1701 was about 950' bow to stern, 451' wide, and 230' tall.

The big crane in the background is 230' tall.

Hard to tell from that angle, but it looks pretty close.

Thank you, and yes, I wouldn't keep it anyway ("let someone else have a chance to catch it" is my polite way of saying "I'm not cleaning that"), but the minimum size for a keeper is 54 inches on this lake.
