Kansas has nothing on the Gulf coast. My family sat on our front porch during Hurricane Camille and watched trees in our front yard lift off and fly horizontally without touching the ground, disappearing into the darkness. We later got 3 trees into the house and a huge hickory tree across our driveway and onto the carport.View attachment 860013
True, but the kids say, " how can we see the storm from the basement."
Beautiful, I love it(probably a lot more than you do). Down here it's been 20 degrees above normal, we're anxiously awaiting cooler weather. My car roof says good morning in a different language.

I've lived in the Mid-West mostly in the Plains states most of my life and have never experienced a twister. We did have a small twister go through western KC Ks. about 25 years ago. I think Tornado alley is shifting east a bit. I hear you on the Gulf coast. We had a bunch of people move in around KC after Katrina in 2005. I have cousins Houston.Kansas has nothing on the Gulf coast. I hope that's distilled water!Remember kids, with Fall comes the changing of the seasons, so it’s time to rake those leaves, change the batteries in your smoke detectors, and clean your PC. View attachment 860629
