That's spectacular
The Eye of Mrs Sauron
I threatened the idiot who sprayed that into the intake for the building AC with spraying the entire bottle up his left nostril if he ever did that again. That stuff is vile.Putting a LIQUID ASS advert right there as you walk in the door is just shameless pandering.
These are my people. They KNOW me. They UNDERSTAND.
How can it not be my new favorite store?

No excuse!!! I'm in Canada and breathlessly counting down the next 9 days before I'm willing to see the first Jack-O-Lanterns!!because you're further North.
And closer to the international date line.

Much too heavy for mahogany, and the pores are not as prominent, at least on the mahogany samples I also have at hand. But that's a really good thought and I can see your point in picking mahogany.Mahogany or California redwood?
that led me to diff places online and I'm now thinking it is Paduak, which means I should have used a damned mask when sanding. Not a clue, but maybe https://woodidentification.net/about/ might be useful.
Well if you didn't have a reaction that isn't uncommon.. but if you do react to it then you likely have figured out that it is indeed padaukMuch too heavy for mahogany, and the pores are not as prominent, at least on the mahogany samples I also have at hand. is this any better? My deepest apologies for nagging but I thought I might have had it and so came back for another look but the server seems to be under a bit of a load and it took forever for the image to load after 3 fails. Maybe some of that is on my fibre-service providers side, maybe some of that is on my aging hardware side.
To be clear: I Love you Lot! I Love to look at the pics...BUT: Could you PLEASE shrink the image size? It doesn't take 5MB to show the detail that can be shown for most of these images in 50kB or less.
Sorry to nag. ...maybe it's just me.
Thanks! ...though, not to point fingers but your original image was 1.5mb.....on my previous attempts it was the far larger images in earlier posts that plugged the plumbing.. it never made it down to yours!is this any better?

You'd think you could at least see Superman's red cape fluttering underneath!
I am 85% sure it is bubinga... I do enjoy wood working have used it before.is this any better
Hm.I am 85% sure it is bubinga... I do enjoy wood working have used it before.
Padauk is very red and has a sweet smell when cut, almost like playdough and the dust is very very powdery.Hm.
You may be onto something.
Given the images Google shows me, it's hard for me to tell bubinga from padauk.
It's not privacy if someone took a picture of it...
This impresses me as something that sounds amazing and beautiful and tranquil and lovely... right up until you actually have to deal with the reality of living on a rock that's scarcely bigger than your house. To each, his own. When I lived in NY we had a cottage in the Thousand Islands region. There were quite a few cottages/summer homes like the one above, where you better not be a sleepwalker.

Yeah, I couldn’t do it either. Our cottage was on an island, nearly 10 miles long though, with a bridge connecting it to the mainland and room to roam. This impresses me as something that sounds amazing and beautiful and tranquil and lovely... right up until you actually have to deal with the reality of living on a rock that's scarcely bigger than your house.
