So, like, the Amazon guy just delivered the sewing machine just in time for me to leave for the wedding. As he was walking back to the truck, well, gee golly, I don't know, but he musta forgot to setthe parking break because next thing you know it... it rolled right down the driveway and down that there hill.
The guy with the sewing machine is grinning because he going to give it to the driver and tell him "You will need this after your boss rips you a new one"
I love the drive back from a week at the lake. They’re not dead...I checked.

From before he was even teething, as a tot my oldest son would drop like a stone five minutes out of the driveway.
I see the same in my grandkids. It's a feature that can be exploited

I would drive around Shrewsbury where we lived when our first was born about 7 million years ago and it worked like a charm. The second was far more ornery.
Yep, amount of fossil fuel that’s been burned through the years in the name of sleeping children has to be staggering! I was worried that my oldest would never be able to drive. With her, the sound of a car engine invoked some kind of narcolepsy, the same way silence invoked insomnia.

Early morning walk along the Santa Cruz river.
Sacred datura, or western jimsonweed.

Osprey nest with chicks... the building in the background is Bluepoint Brewery.

My family rents a cottage in West Dennis MA every year that has an osprey nest on a telephone pole and every year there've been at least two chicks within a month of getting their wings. We watch them practice lifting off the nest and that can be fun if the wind is up

That looks like some beautiful country for a walk, but to call that a river, one might need to chew on some of that datura root!

I thought the same thing at first, but with how low the bank looks I am guessing the picture was taken in the flood plain. Might look a lot different with a little rain.

OMG... you guys have been isolated too long.
A "river" is not defined by a width measurement.at a particular location point.
And we certainly hope Dave enjoys his walk, sans a rainfall that might potentially wipe him and his picture out....
I'm going to enjoy his picture despite the criticism !! LOL

And yes, the flood plain is about half a mile, used for grazing most of the year.
