i looped a beat in 30 seconds, but i can't upload it for HBT to enjoy....it was pretty bassic...

hi-hat for the in and out, started with a couple quick claps, pause and then a kick, pause... kick, then couple snares to be fair, or bragging? the joy's everyone would have felt listening! wait zips are allowed.....?

🤣 i know it's not fast enough, and i need more instruments.....but i like doing things like that every once in a while....just to prove to myself rockstars aren't all that...

i bet most of them don't even make their own beer! :mug:

not much, when i get tired of being looked down on by rockstars though, i will loop something in fruity loops though...music to me isn't that hard just 1's and 2's, female, and male...pretty easy to string something to together quick, when i need me my homebrew.... talk me some smack about the record labels, and their pawns!

Some people see the question "what do you play", and respond with a genre or a specific artist, or perhaps a radio station or streaming service. Others respond with instruments that they've learned to play.

Not bracc.

lived in Plymouth, MN, before I joined the Navy & worked at a pizza place called G Willy's

first week out of bootcamp in San Diego, went to the beach. watched a young woman, nice shape, kinda buff, small bikini start doing handstands on the beach

guy in the group next to them starts taking pictures of her, she yells at him, saying he didn't ask for permission. he asks, she consents & goes back to her handstands, he went back to taking pictures

a couple months later, I'm in electronics school & out drinking with a buddy & his roommate. we start talking about where we're from & this guy says he is from Plymouth, MN & knows G Willy's. we start talking about mutual friends, a mutual girlfriend, but we never met each other before.

week later, I go to my friend's barracks, his roommate is there & asks if I want to see some pictures of our mutual friends from back home. he starts flipping thru a photo album; pictures of people, places I knew & we come across pictures OF A YOUNG WOMAN, NICE SHAPE, KINDA BUFF, SMALL BIKINI doing handstands on the beach

couple months go by, we go to a strip club in San Diego & one of the strippers that night happens to be young, nice shape, kinda buff & absolutely the same girl doing handstands on the beach

I talked to her after her set, told her this story & she was "don't care. wanna lap dance?"

I did, but didn't get one.

this story, in its entirety, takes place before I had ever been to sea, & a great friend, the greatest friend, my favorite person of all time, who called me his Shoremate said it's a small world salty shore story.

and I immediately twitched.

When did fish protein become "not meat"?

Fish are less likely to be jacked up with antibiotics and growth hormones than factory farmed meat (don't know about farmed salmon.) This might account for the difference.

the grocery chains are obsed with making people obsessed with meat...i think they just like big numbers? i just picked 2 ribeyes...$20, usually i just grab a bag of dry beans, lasts a week and is only $1.50....but i figure it easier to produce and transport? so it's better for both of us? i mean sure they don't MAKE as much money, but they wouldn't need as much either....right?

It's hard to keep track of all the beers owned by Inbev and SAB or now the two together, but I never need to drink ANY of their beers until they divest themselves of Russian breweries.

As a kid I worked at a meat market .. Murray's Meat. Got fired 'cause I would answer the phone, "Murray's Meat. You can't beat my meat."

most fish and seafood are loaded with heavy metals these days... and god knows what else... pharmas, various other polluntants but they're still better for us than beef or chicken?! cmon now... I guess its just a pick your poison world now

Turn signal THEN brake

Otherwise, you're just an idiot stopping in the middle of the road

Using your brakes is just turning very expensive gasoline into wasted heat. I use my brakes as little as possible because I care about the environment. I do use my turn signal, the electricity used is a byproduct of the very expensive gasoline I'm burning and I need to get every plugged nickel out of it I can.

Truck driver tip: Always drive like you don't have good brakes, then you'll always have good brakes when you need them.
Might be the bourbon talking, but sometimes I think my dad really does know some stuff.

Hang on, this is a homebrew forum, you're all good as long as you made the bourbon

statistically, i think we have a traitor in our midst....

and should be punished by listening to this, all the way through! i'm half way through....

You're not a cop are you? You know you have to tell me if you're a cop, right?....
Doesn't matter though. I didn't make the bourbon.... yet!

Joke's on you, I was raised on John Denver! I could go down that rabbit hole all night long. I'm not a cop, I'm a homebrewer who occasionally and completely accidentally puts finished "beer" in my kettle and runs it through my "steam slayer". I end up with something that is almost but not completely quite unlike bourbon.

I think I'm qualified to post now. Took a few beers but I'm there.
Strip clubs are stupid and demeaning to the stripper and the attendees.
I was with a few blokes walking back from the party store (getting beer for a party). I jumped on how bad a pot store was, in general, and I kind of thought I would get agreement. What I got was looks like I was from Mars or farther out. Sadly, I amended my statement to mean "Having these marijuana places around kids is bad." That resonated enough to garner agreement.
Yikes.

John Denver seems like a straight shooter. Granted, that's all from what we're supposed to witness of his personality.

I agree about strip clubs but disagree about pot stores. Marijuana is, if anything, much less dangerous and damaging than alcohol but it's less socially acceptable. I don't "get" pot stores necessarily though. I go for my wife and usually someone in front of me is saying, "I want something that lets me watch SpongeBob but doesn't make me see God or get all shivery." and the pot store clerk nods and starts pulling out product. I definitely don't get that kinda service at the beer store.

you can get agreement from me, i lived in NorCal for a while..seemed like half the people were pot growers, the other half were their victims liviing on the streets begging in front of the grocery stores....

you get like 3lb's from growing one plant and those [explicitave] charge $20 a f'n gram, basically breaking people's backs...think it's a farce....

The specificity is hilarious--doesn't make me see God. That is just too funny.
I'll refrain from getting too serious on the subject and what I think are the negatives.
Pot does alleviate symptoms and you could get millions to sign an affidavit to that affect. That's a fact.
Around where I live, I think it the stigma is either gone or almost gone. I do dread the warmer months because I get pot smoke coming in our window constantly from west to east which is the way the wind blows.
It's basically legal here, or everywhere, but it should be handled by the user with others in mind--smoke it where it won't be blowing everywhere.

A cry for making it legal and regulated. Any of the folks I associated with who used it got kind of nutty or, at least, didn't act like themselves while using.
I used to get really stupid after and then hungry. "Munchies" was not an underestimation.

hmm, it's one of the few drugs i really don't like...i've seen reefer madness, that the pot heads love to say is stupid but the rapid zoominig back and forth is pretty accurate..makes it hard to think for myself, and stay in touch....

one of the few drugs i really don't like.
One of the few???? That was funny.
I only remember blips of Reefer Madness and how it was plain "anti." Not something I would buy into. Wasn't that movie a PR type of thing?
In all seriousness, the people I know closely who've been into it heavily didn't come out the other end shiny and new.
One person who I was messing with by saying, "I'm a cop," almost got me punched in the face.
Another got paranoid that someone was out to get them.
Like I implied/said, I've done it. It's not a panacea. It's not the worst though.

as long as i don't have to get plugged by gansters...i'm pretty loose...

i know a pot smoker, in prison now for going refer, and smashing some guy's head in with a hammer while he was sleeping....who was trying to help him out and keep him off the streets...

kids shouldn't be told it's all marry poppins, and there's bad people/'gangsters' they need to think for themeselves too...and honestly i don't think pot is worth the effort....

and honestly i don't think pot is worth the effort....
A story that doesn't sing the praises of marijuana. Rare to hear that. It's interesting that my experience doesn't match all the rave reviews about marijuana. I guess the squeaky wheel gets the grease.
I wonder if the proponents just hide the negatives, only tell those tales that keep up appearances?
That is something I've suspected but who has the energy to find out for sure?

has the energy to find out for sure?

anybody that's learned to balance a check book, or profit/over head sheet i'd assume....

the pot growers like their 'easy' money have no consious about the people they put on the streets making it, they just know it's easy, and don't give a f about the people that can't work hard enough to satisfy their desire for cash!

but this is getting politcal, and why i prefer to avoid it.....

Can you post directions to this Strip Club that sells weed?
My beef with strip clubs is that you can never get a quarter to stay put under the G string.

What you guys are saying about pot has plain not been my experience... In my lovely little hometown methamphetamine is all the rage and it leaves a lot of people very messed up. I haven't seen anybody really struggle with marijuana personally. Usually it can help with anxiety and depression and at the very worst it makes people think they are very intellectual but in fact they're unintelligible.
