Just making a lame joke, I'm not a fan of that beer... carry on.

Citra +Simcoe Forever is hhhhnnnnnnnnnnngggggggggggggggFort George is awesome but Three Magnets IPAs have SUUUUCKED since the brewer in charge of them left and started up his own brewery, Matchless. Which, by the way, makes awesome IPAs.
Speaking of new-ish hops, this year's 3-Way uses Ariana which I'd never heard of before. Looks like a German strain related to Huell Melon and Mandarina.
Well, I'm glad I haven't had one of those, then.others that tasted like tuna water.
Admittedly I moved away from Boston in 2015 and haven't had any since then but their hoppy stuff was insanely inconsistent back then. Like even stuff from the same batch. Santilli was ok but Whirlpool always tasted like watery hop tea and had a strange lingering mouthfeel. The first few batches of Morph were even worse.I've never had a bad hoppy beer from Night Shift, maybe I've been lucky. Nothing has blown me away, but Whirlpool, Santilli, and Morph have all been very solid each time I've drank them. Definitely the sours have been hit-or-miss though. Had some that were excellent, others that tasted like tuna water.

I was on a flight and the server asked me if I wanted a drink. I asked what kind of beers they had. One of them I'd never heard of before. It was an Eepa. I asked her who made it. She said it was New Belgium. "New Belgium Voodoo Ranger Eepa."Man, between this thread and the RTT, you guys are doing my job for me.
NB Voodoo Ranger Imperial IPA is a good beer. Fite me.
Was the flight attendant foreign? That's a pretty common way to call it in Latin America/Spain. I've never heard anyone call it an "eye-PA" here, it's always "eepa".I was on a flight and the server asked me if I wanted a drink. I asked what kind of beers they had. Everyone says it's great, but I was very meh on it the one time I had it. Might need to revisit, if they still make it.
The only ones they make regularly are the Big/Little Juice series. Everything is one off cans for intensified hype.
I was referring to the Matchless citra + simcoe. But your point probably still stands in reference them as well.
Matchless doesn’t remake much. Maybe All Fluff.
They might change their mind about that. I think repeating the hits helps a lot. Fieldwork for a while was pretty much only brewing new stuff, but eventually figured out what they wanted to do and started rebrewing things while also experimenting. I have a feeling that the "OMG NEW STUFF ALL THE TIME" thing is only so sustainable, and might lead to a backlash when they inevitably start giving new names to old recipes.Yeah, realized and actually just changed my post. Matchless seems to make their pilsner and All Fluff regularly but that’s about it. Gotta sell to your demographic who only want new stuff sadly. I wish they’d do Voss IPA again, that was killer.

Ah! I see you fly United.
These days I just say "the new beer" and they figure out what I mean. When over the years I've tried to actually tell them the name of the thing in their cart, they've had a lot of trouble understanding what I'm asking for.

Also I need to find a flight attendant that flies the Portland to Kona route. Would be a great mule.
Probably not the preferred nomenclature for folks who are bringing beer, not drugs, on that route![]()
I wonder if there are any flight attendants on this website. Would love to see a flight attendant AMA here.

Wonder if you could put up postings on Craigslist for something like that or if it would be illegal. You know, the whole “did you pack your own bag? Did anyone ask you to pack anything for them?” thing.

Pretty much the same for me; I buy a single of every new hoppy beer they put out and they are all pretty decent to good with the occasional one being below average. I take a lot of crap about it though right JCastle ?I've never had a bad hoppy beer from Night Shift, maybe I've been lucky. EDIT: and that Apple Brandy Lechudor or whatever it's called is really good.
I was a little frustrated with FW because they would release some pretty good beers and I'd never see them again. Like you said, now they continue to experiment with new stuff while re-releasing the more popular/well received cans, which is great. They might change their mind about that. Well yeah but you also **** on Trillium and Hill Farmstead so I don't take your opinion seriouslyPretty much the same for me; I buy a single of every new hoppy beer they put out and they are all pretty decent to good with the occasional one being below average.
