Ok so after grabbing 1,487 people beer at Suarez I can totally see how it is easy to lose track of time and get mule boxes out late. What a pain in the nuts this is, first and last time ever doing this. So much packing and shipping, which I loathe.

It's amazing you couldn't foresee this as you were making all of these agreements.

I was a trustee one year for a beer society for like 27 people, it was the worst. Especially when some of the people never sent boxes or labels for me to ship them their ****.

No, I mean that I had to ship it with my fedex and all of my packing supplies/boxes
**** that. You provide a label within 6 months. After that I am no longer responsible for the whereabouts of your products. In fact, at that point I'm sending your **** beerandraiderfan out of spite.

I trustee for 15 or so people for Schramm’s (this number varies based on temporary pickups but it stays right around 15 because I won’t trustee for more than I can handle and I won’t do it for anyone inconvenient). Most of them are local to me and either pick up at my house or we meet at local shares. I ship to precisely 2 people and they are people I consider friends who grab me the occasional bottles I ask for but know that I don’t need to be amassing more **** I don’t need. Otherwise I ask for a nominal chip in for gas money per trip because that **** adds up. Even this is tiring, but I am looking forward to spring fest/Derby Day “hot browns.”

Before you ask, no I will not trustee for you. I am full up. LYMI.

Hi. ILY

You and Thorpe are excluded from my previous comment, should be a given.

The rumor I've heard is that they picked NOLA for October. And then had trouble locking down the actual venue they wanted.

Again, this is 100% a rumor I've heard. It might be COMPLETELY false. I have NO backing from anyone who is actually associated with Shelton. So honestly, you should assume it's false.

But it's what I've heard.

I had heard Seattle rumors and got my hopes up (I mean, why would they hold their event in a city that they don't even like to send beer to), but of course they'd go back to the South instead. Oh well.

OK can you put me on the wait list though?

:p

Being a proxy can be a PITA. Make it easy on your opossum/mule/proxy and extend a reciprocal #gapiufmb. TB Bourbon wasn't too much of a pain, more on the side of the negligent store forgetting to give me bottles during my original pickup. Shippers, tape, label, trips to FedEx/UPS can add up.

Also, in for next Suarez trip ;).

And your MAW box is growing with Nonna's eggplant.emoji.gif

Let me know what you think of that Scotch BA Mexican Cake when you drink it. Opinions seem to be starkly divided between "love" and "hate" based on how much the drinker enjoys peated scotch, so I assumed you and Jay would be on the love side of the divide.

Take your time and you know I got you homie.

You are/were too nice. I have been the trustee for numerous people. I would not ship until I have shippers (they can pay me to pick some up) and a label. Only a couple people flaked at the end and never sent me labels, but this was after probably 5-10 boxes had been sent to them and over a year of me being like WTF, do you want your beer? Currently only trustee for one person, have been a trustee for him (his group) for well over 5 years and various memberships.

Lol. Yeah, slowly mule you bottles along with my other buddy who moved to Hawaii via carefully prepaid plane tickets. No, thanks.

LOL. Don't worry, you can ship to my PO Box (aka parents' house in LA) and I will take it from there.

I seriously don't know how you manage proxying for so many people. I would never have the attention span or energy!

I even went as far as buying cases of beers that were released at the brewery and not available to the society and including them in everyone's boxes for free.

Damn, that is generous. I would include homebrew and soda, and the occasional Pizza Port can when slots are available. Now with the one person I trustee I am more likely to throw in better extras if slots available and i have the extra beer (I don't buy much as is).

Out of curiosity, does Washington allow beer fests with unlimited drinks, not the ******** one-per-ticket thing? I've heard, and again this is only speculation, that some states don't allow the unlimited option and that the Shelton Bros are not going to have the fest in said states because of that.

The Masonry's Farmhouse Fest does unlimited drinks, and they're very close with Shelton.
