But a lot of people find the haze-bro craze ridiculous not in a "get off my lawn" way but rather a "what does it really add" way. Many of us already lived through the IBU wars and can call out a ridiculous gimmick when we see one. If the haze is due to an ingredient or process that enhances the flavor of the beer, I'm for it. All too often though it's a race to see who can come up with the ugliest alcoholic swamp water. Any homebrewer can tell you the latter isn't very difficult to achieve.
Yeah that's what gets me about this craze, I don't think I've ever had a hazy IPA that's better than, say, Pliny. Or Heady, which I guess is the inspiration for this? Who knows. But when you start throwing all the weird **** in it I've never gotten past "I guess that's neat?" and many of them are just bad. I know everyone has different tastes, but if you want an alcoholic strawberry milkshake, why not just, you know, do that? It'll probably be better anyway.

So i talked to this guy at Suarez for a good 35 min before it clicked as to who he was. Super nice guy. He was en route to HF...

Anyone else still not have a clue who this guy is?

I recognize the goat chugger.

So I guess it is the brewer from Side Project?

I mean if I saw a dude in a Metallica hat and shirt I wouldnt assume it was James Hetfield

Yeah it's Cory King, the owner/brewer of Side Project. He's generally a really nice guy, I've ran into him a few times at Hill Farmstead over FoFA weekend and he enjoys just shooting the **** and having a good time.

Just wait until you get older and your digestive system goes haywire from drinking a slurry of yeast, fiber, and hop particulates. They might taste “ok”, but getting bubble guts from one serving of “beer” is ridiculous.

Coming from the man who can dome Steel Reserve and 4loko like it's soda.

I passed up KBS at $22 per 4 pack at my grocery store. They had a stack of cases on the floor and another section with 3 random 4 packs hanging out.

I noticed the one on 96 always has beer marked up a bit. Even more than the other one on 646 which just a couple miles away. Now I’m real glad I didn’t buy any.

Yeah even through several managers that HEB seems high. I'm surprised how much the individual beer department managers can sway pricing structures across the stores. The one at my HEB in Pearland seems to want to price everything to move quick. If things like Cascade bottles don't move in a year or whatever he'll mark them down to $3 and clear the shelf. I picked up a bunch of Prairie bottles I wouldn't buy for $8 for $1/each the other weekend.
