Is it a thing everywhere else for craft beer specialty stores to have giant glass windowed store fronts, where the direct sunlight blasts entire shelves of bottles every day for hours at a time? Because it’s certainly a thing at almost every beer store around here (eastern VA).

Follow-up question: How douchey would it be to comment to them about this, because I’ve come close...isn’t that kind of beer 101?
Only if they don't have UV foil put on the glass.

New York Times said:
Denby was working on biofuel experiments when he learned that some plant molecules called terpenes can replicate the flavor of hops. These terpenes occur naturally in herbs like basil and mint, so Denby injected some basil DNA into brewer’s yeast and tested whether it successfully recreated the flavor of one of craft brewers’ most commonly used hops: Cascade.

The results? It worked.

My favorite beer rating feedback is a 12%+ BA stout or Barleywine being described as ‘boozy’. Yeah, no ****. I think that was the intent.

‘It’s tasty but a little hot right now, I’m gonna lay down my extra 37 bottles in the cellar (kitchen cabinet) for 5 years to tame the heat until they all taste like wet cardboard.’

The " r/ " trading on BA has begun.

Pretty sure most /r folks already have BA accounts they abandoned years ago due to the......overly civil nature of trading on BA.

PA gets a bad rap on alcohol because A) It costs more than bordering states B) You can only buy liquor at state controlled stores.

But now you can buy beer at a grocery store. Some grocery stores well wine now too.

You don't "have to buy a case" anymore. Beer distributors (aka case stores) can sell any quantity from a keg to a single beer.

Sure, you can't buy beer at Target or Walmart but at least we don't have an ABV cap like other states. And our breweries are allowed to sell pints on their premises. If you're a brewery in NJ that wants to sell a pint you have to "educate" the patron on the brewing process and they can't sell food.

I can't wait until we get "Food Babe takes on the craft beer industry". I will personally take that charlatan down if I have to.
I think she went after Isinglas a while ago. Maybe next time it will be the toxic sugar content of barleywine. Food babe v Alex Kidd would make my day.

Oy vey - I wish you didn't make me search. https://foodbabe.com/the-shocking-ingredients-in-beer/ My brain melted reading this.

Reading through this article I was thinking "oh, so she's Alex Jones with a left wing slant and different genitalia." Started reading through the comments, and sure enough I see one that says "Hi, I sign the beer petion for list of ingrediants.Im soory i could not find the list of beers you said you had if you signed the petion on the alex jones show."

On and on with this nonsense about beer being healthy. She had no point so she made up a line and repeated it over and over so she could have a point.

Nobody thinks beer is healthy but this idiot needed something to write about so she went for it.

I’m most annoyed that she got all these clicks on some **** ass article.
