If you are at the one in St Pete then I'd recommend going to crooked thumb as well. It's usually been super chill and the outside area is nice, plus you can take a strong down main Street in safety harbor. There's a little bakery that makes thick ass brownies and a big ass oak tree next to a library. It's a slice of small town America.

All over Illinois, too. Might be a shelfie in Missouri, too.

weird. i guess they distro a lot futher than i thought, but it has been like 12 years since i lived in NC and drank a lot of it. the milk stout was a staple of mine in college around the turn of the century.

I'd never heard of White Rooster before but they popped up on Tavour today... and sold out in 40 minutes. The only thing that I've seen go quicker was Deal with the Devil. Should I have heard of them before?

From yesterday's DDT...

I continue to really like what White Rooster is putting out. This one was loaded woth floaters, but quite refreshing and nicely balanced woth the grapes.

That's just bad art direction.

Ugh yes.

One thing that's always bothered me about movies and tv shows is when they show the characters typing on a keyboard and it's clear that the actor has never actually typed on a keyboard. They'll spend thousands training actors to play the piano so it looks realistic but can't bother to get something like a computer keyboard right, knowing that everyone in the audience is more likely to know when that looks wrong??

The beer thing is just silly too. It's not very hard to plan for this kind of thing and I'd have trouble believing that someone on the set or associated with the film didn't know better. It's lazy and it detracts from a movie's quality.

I can only imagine what other terrible shortcuts are taken/made that other people in other hobbies/areas of expertise notice.

oh yea. Their baltic porter is really good too, however, they had infection issues in a couple of their darker beers around 2012-2014 which is why Olde Rabbit's Foot was not produced for so long. They are a solid brewery otherwise, good offerings of most of the popular styles back in 2009-2013. I haven't had their stuff in forever, probably worth a shot.

Their BA Baltic Porter is still the best BA beer I’ve ever had. I think they only made it once and it was only 1 or 2 barrels. All of it got kegged.

I drank like a 1/3 of the keg myself during the first Raleigh Rare & Vintage fest, blacked out and ‘went to bed’ around 5pm.

Moutela added a post on an industry Facebook page to sarcastically thank whoever was responsible for the fakery, saying it brought the company's fans and the business closer together.

That post got an immediate response -- a death threat from someone claiming to be a Navy Seal with more than 300 "confirmed kills."

Moutela realized it was a "copy and paste" threat that's been online for years, but he took it seriously.

He tracked the poster -- who lives out-of-state -- and contacted the local police. Officers showed up at the person's door and said further interactions with Moutela would bring an arrest, he said.

I seriously can't handle how cute the Jester King baby goats are:

In all of the porchbombing (literally) madness, I can't believe we missed this.

Quickly deleted, but even the subsequent apology tweets are...incredulous, to say the least.

I really hope this is real.

Randall beer in a French press, rebottle and wax that bitch, auction it off on IG for unnamed ‘charity’, profit?

Geez, I go away for a few days and come back to all this and I still have tons to catch up on... this "hobby" is getting SERIOUSLY weird.

Goats are cute as **** though

Goats are only cool if you are shotgunning tall boys in their pen with them.

Yeah, I did that.

Do you even satire?

Is that satire? Because I could easily believe The Veil or Omnipollo doing that kind of ****? And since there are too many breweries to keep track of any longer, I assume that this is another up and coming brewery in that same idiotic frame.

I remember bursting out laughing when I saw how the lead in the hunger games movies was holding her bow on a poster. It was like "that's great form if you want to hit something like 5 feet away from where you're aiming". And I'm not even that good... (No idea if that was just a poster thing because I have not seen the movies.)

a glass designed for shitlords, beer is the worst

Apparently the first of Cycles beers, the dumb weekday ones, is infected. lol. ******* Florida

He tried to steal a case of Friday bottles from Cycle at BA Day two years ago, then tried to pretend he didn't know what he was doing because he was drunk. I still have no idea why he hasn't been 86'd for life.

Another fun one today, this time from Angry Chair:

TBBW is going to provide a lot of entertainment this year.

TBBW is the shitlord gift that keeps on giving. I'm hearing stories from friends down there already that people at Angry Chair are literally trying to outbid each other for the services of the various mules in line, mules are double-crossing their "benefactors" to take a better deal, mules and mule-herders arguing loudly over the price of compensation, etc. Just totally amazing stuff.

No. Absolutely not. Just **** the hell off already.

(This is from "The Collective Brewing Project", whatever the hell that is.)

Man the past few days have been eventful...

That beer was not very good, although it's not because it tasted of chicken or anything.

yeah not surprised. i was just curious what exactly made the peeps addition any different than any other dumb beer that uses marshmallows

Part of what seems especially dumb about this is they are going into the boil. I'd assume usually when a brewery uses marshmallows (and some beers have extracted that flavor successfully) it would be in secondary shortly before packaging.
