"You see this on the shelf, what do you do? You won't believe what this guy did!"

For that price, you could get Prop14 ($299) and pick 2 of Heady, Focal, Sip, Haze, or Julius ($25 per can) at that liquor store in DuPont Circle that maxes out on DC's grey market laws. They actually had Lunch, BCBS, and Regal for growler fills too - but the 16oz growler glass was $5.99, which somehow put me off even more than the beer markup.

So you're saying I should buy it...

My plans of propering my CCB glass have been quashed:

I was lifting it out of the box and it made incidental contact with a bottle sitting next to it, and it snapped in half. To be clear, this amount of force on contact was seriously minimal, so I assume this particular glass was a dud that simply hit retail.

Oh well, I'll just have to use unbranded glassware like a pleb.

Sandpaper + clear epoxy = exclusive stemless.

I hate this beer game we all play at times. ******* ridiculous.

Edit: But even with that in the back of my mind I'm like hmm would I have walked away and I don't know why I would even think like that.

I was kidding about the PayPal but I probably wouldn't have been able to leave the store.

The oddest thing about BW is not the high pricing, but rather what they choose to price that high. I think the 2002 Fou is one of the worst "values" they have offered recently. Just one example, 2007 Gambrinus was $80 earlier this month.

I bought it.

You should change your signature to 'I would pay $350 for 2002 Fou Foune' to contextualize your posts.

$150+ by the time I add tax/shipping/thank you is more than I should pay for a bottle of beer, but damn I'd have a hard time not buying that De Dolle bottle if I was there myself.

Or this guy for $108:

I guess in actuality I bought it for Gonzoillini. Either way, I love BW.
