Are you ******* kidding me? I mean seriously.

Deschutes, I've loved you guys for years for producing a really solid catalog of drinkable, affordable, consistent beers with the odd gem here and there, but this is ******* ridiculous. Cocoa? Vanilla? Sweet orange peel? Peated malt? Bourbon barrels? Scotch barrels? Individually, all pretty interesting. In some combinations, possibly very good. All together? Just go the **** home.

Since Deschutes doesn't make it to NYC, and since I love Cocoa, Vanilla, Orange Peel, Scotch, and Bourbon, and, of course, the rest of the beers in this series:

ISO.

The problem with Deschutes though, is while they write up these elaborate labels that sound good, you really just end up tasting a muddled, slightly oakey sweet porter. The beer is ok. Had some on tap last night and it was fine but I certainly wouldn't guess scotch, bourbon, vanilla and orange peel.
