Followup (there's no signal inside the main Tree House building):
Once I was inside, the no-sours guy behind me kept saying we're gonna make it (get a Native One) and I kept telling him haha no way. As always, I was right - they sold out of Native One about 20 people ahead of us.
As soon as that announcement was made, the leader of the 3 stooges in front of me immediately began working out how much cash the other 2 had to give him back because he had doled out the MuleMoney(™) a few minutes earlier in line. He was actually haranguing his dad over a $2 difference or something.
Guilty
I considered doing that but felt it was too creepster-ish
What kinda no good dumb question is that?
All of them. I needed to win their cans to send to mah boi HenrikO
The sours have a distinct flavor to me I associate with acetone and acrylic (I call it "the way a nail salon smells"), and I have never been much of a hop head, so I tend to only enjoy certain hop profiles, primarily citra, mosaic, a little Nelson Sauvin or Sorachi Ace if not too heavy handed. So the sours to me taste like poison, and the hops are just okay. It's not anything they are doing wrong, and I know it is just me. I admit to having a broke ass palate.
I drank 1/3rd of a Cascade Apricot last night, and I honestly can't remember if it was always like that or if I really enjoyed that level of acidity 4+ years ago.
It was hard to finish a 3rd of a bottle amongst friends.
It has always been pretty acidic but I think starting with the 2013 batch they really started to go over the top. Can't imagine paying $30 for a bottle anymore. Don't ever drink Cascade unless at a share or the brewery these days
******* that's a pet peeve of mine. It isn't ******* smoke, and it also doesn't ******* matter. My fault for ever watching any youtube "reviewer" though.

Just got a message from a friend that it is currently 97 degrees at the Firestone Walker Invitational. Couldn't be happier with my decision not to attend the Firestone Walker Invitational.

Had my first ever beer from Witch's Hat today...Andrew Gose Grapefruity, which was on tap at Ashley's in Ann Arbor. I understand that their BA stouts are impossible brewery-only releases that, with the new stealth ticket system, is functionally locals only, but I wish like hell they'd send some of the other kegs over to the Western half of the state. This was the best gose I've ever had.
