Gose. *******, Gose. **** Gose.

Three years ago if you told me Gose was gonna be a thing, I would have laughed.

Then I had some great Goze, life was good...really good. Yeah USA Goze brewers.

Today I happened upon 6/7 local breweries who had a Goze out. I picked the one I figured would suck least.

WHY WOULD YOU EVER EXPECT CALICRAFT NOT TO SUCK?

This video convinced me to never buy Calicraft beer.

Did...did he just think he invented the braggot?

Lol. Other Gose options where Hess, High Water, Hermitage, others.

Of the options available...*shrug*
Is Gose Gone Wild not warming shelves up there like it is down here?

You have to be a true shitlord to complain that the limit at a beer release where no one is getting shut out is too high.

Seems like we might finally be heating an equilibrium point with these kinds of releases though, apparently almost no one there was buying the limit (10 bottles at $25 per).

Real talk here. A lot of breweries are in rather ****** areas of town (Cycle is not, I know).

With more and more releases like this, and especially ones that require cash only, when are we going to see the first beer release day heist?

I mean, if I were a bandit, it'd be an attractive proposition to know that the employees in an industry that champions drinking on the job are standing around with huge ******* stacks of cash after a successful release day. Much less security than a bank, much less resistance than other targets, and five figures in BA stout stained cash? Hmm.

I've been in an illicit poker room before when it got held up for less money with more security and weaponry. It just takes the word to spread.

Flipping shitlord logic dictates that they can't shoot everybody, revolt. If bullets start flying, duck behind your mule.

I always expected something like this to happen up at Hill back when it was cash only.

Bottles are already getting stolen left and right. An acquaintence has also told me about how easy it is to swipe extra cases just sitting around. It's bot taking cash and pallets at gunpoint, but stuff folks are less likely to get caught in the act doing. Already happens all the time, at least in shitlord central.

It'll be interesting to see what the '14 does. I really enjoyed the one I had, but it wasn't quite as amazeballs as I remember the '11 being.
Agreed. Lots of mineral lemon lime, nice green apple funky cider notes, but almost none of the same giant funk on the '11. It's good doe!

I've heard of people here going into the storage areas of grocery stores / liquor stores where not permitted and grabbing things to go head to the registers with, but straight up snatching a case from a brewery is some next level horseshit.

My favorite local bar used to keep excess kegs and cases in the hallway to the bathrooms till shitlords started lifting things. Amazing you'd have to put a security camera with a big sign indicating "don't steal **** you're on camera" in a rather nice bar.

I just don't get it.

There was a period of time a while back where people kept stealing old beer signs from the bathrooms of the local bars.

I have no ******* clue why, but people are ******* ********.

Confession - When we were drunk ******* college kids we used to steal trophies from bars that sponsored softball, hockey teams and such.

Ever been to strangeways in dallas? I can't believe how more **** doesn't get stolen from there.

I friend of mine is a pro brewer. He told me whenever he goes to a new brewery he always starts with a lager. It's easy to cover a beer's flaws with a ton of hops or adjuncts but a lager brewed to the definition of the style shows true brewing skill.
