Looks like Bruery is selling Black Tuesday (1pp) for their Cyber Monday deal. Is it worth $30 + $15 shipping to NorCal? My hunch is "no way", but what do I know.

If you've never had it, definitely. But you can probably get anyone here to bring it to a share, as 3 oz is pretty much the max.

Yeah, the only reason I'm thinking about it is because I have a nice dinner with friends coming up and it would be really wonderful to try this beer with them. (Especially in 3oz bursts.) But man, $45 for a BBA stout...

(I could also just get a Sucre or Cuivre off the shelf for the same ABV kick and save $15.)

If you're looking to get housed, consider a different type of alcohol manufacturing process and save some money.

It's not about getiting smashed. There's 8+ people at the dinner and IMO 3oz pours of lower ABV beers just aren't that satisfying. 15%+ though and it feels like you're trying a substantial sample. Plus, said Bruery beers have always sounded interesting and it seems like a good opportunity to try them.

So for $45 you can buy eight $5 bottles of something with 7-10% ABV and get smashed with four 3oz helpings.

Just write "this is special" on each bottle so people know they're drinking a good beer at a substantial volume, but in a 12oz burst instead of the 3oz burst.

Full Disclosure: I think you should buy the Black Tuesday, but I like the **** out of that beer. But the reason should be it's a tasty treat, without regard to the volume of alcohol or pour you receive. Something about those inclusions in your posts makes you seem like the reason to buy the BT is to have a "substantial" pour for everybody, but hey, same punch to the face is $15 less for a Cuivre or similar - so **** it.

BT is one of those beers people always talk about and this seems like one of the few occasions I could easily get my hands on it. (Albeit at a significant markup.) Just wanted to know if it was (still) worth the praise.

Yes, IMO. It's ******* tasty.

Uggh so jealous. We don't get any De Dolle let alone those sweet treats. I love that stuff.

****, I've never even seen these on shelves here. Last year one of my cousins was nice enough to donate a couple of his bottles he got at the brewery and this year I had to drive over there myself. Next time I see Kris I'm asking him to keep more of this in Belgium.

Ooohh, example? Not sure which groups it look at
