I believe they had trouble with the town prior to them canning but I could be wrong, though I’m sure it could’ve further annoyed the town. Either way, it does seem like Northport is taking a pretty tough stance with them. Some people are of the opinion that they just want them out of there as the brewery doesn’t fit that north shore aesthetic.
Hopefully it works out for them because they seem like good people and make some really nice beer.

I think it's been an on and off thing since they started. In hindsight it seems like they chose a terrible location to house the brewery operation they were fortunate enough to have become. Based on the few articles I've read about the situation in the local papers, it sounds like the issue of the tasting room is being conflated with the issue of people drinking/waiting in line. The local ZBA is convinced that the place is operating like a bar, currently, and not a place that is for "tasting".

Northport is a nice, above average town. I think they recognize the role Sand City plays in that, but unlike places like Other Half, Northport doesn't need Sand City as any sort of revitalization project within the town.

Don’t listen to him soliloquy, I think you look lovely. Especially for being approximately 400 years old.

Seriously, how can any word with “olilo” in it look ugly? That would make a decent beer name.

Also, the OED word of the day is a ridiculous one

That's a very specific word. Fantastic.

We are getting kind of off topic though so let's bring it back.

There is a verisimilitude to the lugubrious affect I effect upon my ascertainment of missing libations.

Not gunna lie I find it a bit upsetting when I help someone land a beer just for them to turn around a sell it. Makes me think twice about helping them again. Live and learn :/

(Sorry, just needed to vent)
I wouldn't have to think twice. I'd think "never again" once and be done with it.

I mean I’ve pissed some folks off yo. I’ve had the law called on me this month even for “threatening” someone. But man I’d never think hey look at that cooler! Wait, CAUTION!?! RUN RUN RUN DUCK. Someone call the bomb squad!!!!
It's even more delicious when you consider that he was the one who threatened his roommate he kicked out.

Like, how serious do your threats have to be to think someone might bomb you over them?
