I've definitely been guilty of it in the past, but there's probably no review that bothers me more than "It's pretty good...for a [INSERT STYLE HERE]."
 
India Pale Ales get their name from their distinctive brown color.

"India", of course, comes from "India ink", a deep black pigment composed of carbon particulate in a colloidal suspension. While many modern "IPAs" do not maintain the dark coloration and opacity of the original versions, some can be found made by extremely traditional artisan brewers.
