Yeah, secret's out for sure. Meanwhile, if you have nice friends in the LA area, you can grab that, Sucaba, like 4 Barrelworks beers, and Parabajava all at once at the new Venice location. I can only assume that treasure trove will dry up once people figure it out, but until then, absolutely incredible. (Pretty incredible tap list too.)
I stopped in yesterday afternoon, just a few minutes after they tweeted that they were open (luckily, it was already a planned stop for me). There was small crowd when I got there, but a full parking lot by the time I left.

It's been three years in the making, so their opening isn't really a secret; it's been a long time coming for local beer nerds.

Not so much the opening as a secret as the incredible offerings available in the shop -- hard for me to imagine those Parabajavas and even Barrelworks/Parabolas/etc. don't get snatched up quickly and aren't so readily available in the future.

I just don't get why having those beers for sale would be a secret or a surprise?

I like my local IPAs, Jai Alai, trying new IPAs via trading, and Tree House and Trillium are worth trading for. I also think BCBS is great, chasing stouts is stupid, but trying new stouts is fun because I don't want to drink the same thing over and over again.

I also enjoy Bruery beers and am unoffended by Hill Farmstead fan boys and turbid IPAs.

Trillium IPAs are the only ones I'll put an ISO for, and have yet to actually close on one. Otherwise I'll just drink Trop, Trop, and more Trop.

A/S/L?

I'm kind of disappointed the beer world has all clued in on how good Parabola is. Three years ago I purchased a case of it at FW Paso Robles about two months after the release, then got even more at a grocery store up in Oregon a month later (and also found a bunch of '12 bottles just turding up the shelf at one of the major beer stores). Now it's limit 2 bottles per person at Paso and Barrelworks and I'm sure it will be gone in an instant.
My first trade was for a parabola 13, it was awesomeand I wanted more. I was able to get multiple14 but 15 was a bit cheaper and going forward I'm sure it will be even harder.

One of my favorite beers.

One of my first ever trades was sending away Parabola for Dark Lord... My face when I opened that DL:

My first Parabola was one of my more memorable beer drinking experiences. Ran the Marine Corps Marathon in DC with a good friend. As soon as we finished, took an Uber to some beer bar, each domed our own Parabola, and then got bourbon drunk.

Mammoth Brewing who otherwise makes run of the mill beers has a beer that blows bcbs out of the water.
It's great that it's brewery only and a major pain in the ass the get to.
Anyone that knows me that goes there knows to pick me up a few bottles.
