Ah ****.

I've become what I hate...the idiot that jumps onto a board and melts at an inside joke.

Cheers, AndresR and drgarage. My bad.

I'll go sit in the corner for a while...

Is 2016 the year of celebrity beers or has that always been a constant thing?

Stone Cold made a beer with El Segundo (which is actually pretty good) and Green Flash is making a beer with retired Chargers center Nick Hardwick.
Was the Stone Cold beer just a one time thing or is it now a regular beer? If regular, then ISO.

Hanson Brothers Beer Co. Launched in 2013. They run a beer festival in Tulsa called the Hop Jam. Not that I have ever been.
Oh and they have done the Beer and Music session at GABF the last 2 years. As far as I can tell, one brother is a cocktail nerd, one is a beer geek and one mostly drinks Dr. Pepper, but that might be admitting too much.

Thanks to Hop Jam, there are $4.99 bottles of Calabaza Boreal on shelves here (Shelton leftovers from the festival). Never been to the festival, but I hope Hanson keeps it up forever (and brews all the terrible beer they want to keep the dream alive).

Totally shocked today's Prairie bottle release at the brewery didn't turn into a **** show when they ran out well before getting through the line. I guess since this is basically the first time this has ever happened in Oklahoma, neckbeards didn't know what to do. It was great.

Heard about a growler shop that was pouring a Lavender and Sea Salt Athena. Didn't sound great at first, but I'm a fanboy for Creature so would be willing to try it.

Turns out the dude who owns the growler shop is just adding a couple shakes of lavender flavored bitters & sea salt, and then pouring a growler of Athena on top of that. What a ******.

Goddamnit that's ****** up. Should've known something was wrong -- last time I was at the brewery I asked an employee about that beer and she had no clue what I was talking about. You can consider me united in yr boycott of that store.

In other news, I heard there's a new BCBBQSS variant pouring in my house, as soon as I dump barbecue sauce into a BCBS.

Words of wisdom from a no-longer-relevant craft beer mainstay.

If I ever meet this clown I am going to throw such a vicious bow into his smug hockey-**** talking face that the team of facial surgeons and dentists necessary to make him able to breathe and drink liquids through a straw will be able to ******* retire and send their next 5 generations of kids through college from the medical bills.

ME: Nice try with the hate though.

Such a stark contrast from Alesmith's release along the same vein.

Yeah; the whole idea of "craft beer ethos" is so idealistically naive and laughable, I would expect better from someone who actually has years of business experience.

Worse yet, it heavily implies that if you don't subscribe to the same "ethos", you're not a true part of craft beer, which is kind of a ******, passive-aggressive way to throw shade at those who actually want to make money off their life's endeavors.
