Racking port location

I'm currently fabricating a ss fermenter and am wondering if there's an equation for the location of the racking port or if it's just around the centre of the cone. Thanks

I don't think there's an equation necessarily, but all the ones I've seen are roughly in the center of the cone, but with a long sweep 90 degree dip tube inside. The idea being to begin with the dip tube facing slightly upward, and after loosening the tri-clamp, gently rotate the valve until the dip tube just starts to pick up yeast. Then you know you're going to get all you can.
