I brewed my first AG on sunday and the OG was 1.084. I am not getting very good action thru the air lock and I am fine with that because the bucket lid doesnt have the seal in it. It was bubbling slowly for a few days but now is non existent. I was going to rack to my carboy so I can see whats happening and take a gravity reading to see if in fact the yeast is working.
My question is:
Should I aerate the brew while transferring(I just use a strainer on top of the funnel and that incorporates alot of bubbles) or transfer with as little disturbance as possible(like when I transfer to keg)?

I popped the lid and there was alot going on. I just hate not seeing what is going on. If left to our own thoughts the mind just goes to the bad. All good
