Rack and bottle carb

I plan to let sediments fall out of my cider by letting it seat an extra 7 days in the primary fermenter. Then bottle without reaching the sludge layer below.

Wil be adding priming sugar into the bottles.

I am wondering will it still carbonate? Or have I left all the yeast behind? (I am not cold crashing)

Not. There are billions of yeast cells in cider, and in 7 days they will still be incredibly active.

Could you clarify what you mean by an "extra" 7 days? How long was it in primary before this "extra" week?

Madhusudan, its 7 days on top of another 7 days(that is how long it takes for the juice to reach 0.998 which i assume is dry)

Many people wait months in the secondary before bottling. It not very likely you wont let some sludge in anyway.

Bottling at 14 days, even if it looks clear will result in a lot of sediment in the bottle.
