Hey everyone,
Ive got a random brewing question

when im boiling my wort and it foams up, on the inside of my pot i get like some crud (i guess from grain husks and hop pieces). Should i be splashing up the wort to get that residue back in the wort or do i want that out of the wort?

There's plenty of hops still in the boil, try to keep it down to a rolling boil instead of a boil over (No duh huh). As the gentleman from Kathmandu says, hopefully there are very little husks or any other grain particles in the wort.

Im not really sure what it is to be honest. My grain and my hops are both put in while it rice bags. I dont really think its grain husks but i see some of it before i add the first hop addition. Its probably proteins.

I'm confused as to your response as well, but look into some de-foamer. That stuff rocks! Full pot + full boil = no boil over!
