So Ive been doing a fair share of HBT surfing the last couple weeks instead of brewing. Its been so hot and we were waiting on the new counter flow chiller, which worked out beautifully yesterday :rockin:.

Brewed up a batch of IPA, a Bells Two Hearted clone, cleaned the labels off several months worth of commercial bottles (about 400) and bottled 20 gallons of beer. I'm dying today but it was totally worth it!

After reading about some gnarly carboy accidents I figured I would strap on a pair of work boots in the brewery yesterday and boy am I glad I did. We placed our kettle, fresh off the burner, onto our tempered glass table. Boy was that a mistake but none of us even gave it a second thought . Five minutes after we whirlpooled and sat down to relax we heard what sounded like someone breaking one of our windows but noticed the table falling apart underneath our precious brew. We managed to save the kettle before the table completely gave way, but not before I got a chance to snap a picture :cross:.

Glad I wore boots instead of crocs like my roommate yesterday! lol
