quick - when do i add corn sugar to the boil?

making an ipa and adding some corn sugar to dry it out and up the abv.

want to add 1/2 lb but don't know when.

i'm 30 min into the boil on a partial mash so i hope the answer is "late in the boil".

Sorry to revive this post, but had a related question.

My (crappy) northern brewer instructions didn't mention this whole "at least 15 minutes" on the sugar thing. It just said "add corn sugar at end of boil."

So, that's what I did. Heat was off, and I just stirred a minute or so to dissolve.

Problem? Too late now, I guess, yeast is pitched.

Most likely you'll be fine.
 
You should be fine. People say 15 mins because that is what it takes to sanitize it. i think
