I'm ordering some ingredients online for my first non-kit brew. I'm doing an extract nut brown, and it calls for half a pound of chocolate malt. On morebeer it has 2 types, milled or unmilled. Which should I get for extract? Or does it always have to be milled, they just supply unmilled so you can mill it yourself? Thanks!

Usually un-milled is cheaper. Unless you have a mill, you'll want milled.

EDIT: ^ what he said.

That's what I thought, but wanted to verify. Thanks!!

Edit:

When you go all-grain, do you still use milled grains?

All the grains eventually have to be milled. You can either do it yourself or the vendor can do it for you. I still hand crank the mill at the beginning of the brew day.
