OK, I've got a 5 gallon keg thats been carbonating/conditioning for around 5 weeks now (sugar carbed). My question now is pretty simple. Before I put it fridge to chill it, do I "burp" it first? OR do I simply chill it, hook up gas at serving pressure and start drinking with no "burping" (the keg!(

Thanks!

Don't burp it, just stick it in the fridge and let it chill. Then hook it up and you should e all set.

Like Yooper says, put it in the fridge without burping. However, since my keg system doesn't have check valves on my gas lines, I do burp the kegs once chilled then hook up my gas. Sometimes the pressure in the keg is higher than my regulator. Beer pushing into your gas lines is something you don't want. Just a thought.
