First time using this yeast. I made a starter only about 6 hours before pitching (I like to do this to "wake" the yeast up)

I pitched it into a cooled wort containing about 9 pounds of Northwest Brewer Dark Malt Extract and some speciality grains.

Its been about 36 hours and fermentation is all but done!!! Is it desired to have quick primary fermentations like this, given the high gravity of my wort???

:mug: What was your fermenting temps. Real good idea to keep them range. I like to keep them in the lower to middle of the range.:mug:

for future reference there's no reason to make a starter for dry yeast. Just re-hydrate it.
