Hi all,
I'm about to start building my keezer and have a couple quick questions...
I'm in an area where it's hard for me to find untreated wood. Is it safe to use chemically treated wood for the collar if I prime and paint it, or is there still a decent risk of chemicals seeping out? I know it won't get in the beer but I'd rather not even touch something that is going to be leeching arsenic, etc.
My other question is about embedding the temperature controller in the collar so it displays out to the front. The unit I have is of decent size and the box and plugs would be inside the freezer and exposed to all that cold air and moisture. Is this safe? It wouldn't strike me as so but I see a lot of people with their temp control embedded there. Just not sure how people are doing it.
Thanks for any help anyone can offer.
