Brewed up a quick cream ale yesterday, I brew extract. Long story, I had to run out yesterday after the boil and before pitching the yeast, I did pour the wort into the ale pale with 2 gal of ice cold water, temp was at 100 and wasn't able to wait, did a short ice bath though. Put the lid on the pale, before it hit 75 it was almost 2.5 hrs, started seeing some bubbles this morning, but should I be worried about off flavors due to the long time it took to get the temp down?

thanks,

As long it was covered you should be alright. I do all-grain and with all the snow here in the Northeast, could not get my hose out to chill my last batch and just put the pot outside covered while I went to my homebrew club meeting, then brought inside and let it sit to morning before pitching, and it was fine.
