I have bought the gold package starter kit a true brew kit fairly priced turned out bad. And now two recipes that was not what I planed on from my local home brew store because it didn't have a lot of the ingredients I need for both recipes.
Next I plan on ordering from an online supplier because what from what I see it is greater variety and cheaper.
Which ones are the fan favorites??????

I like NorthernBrewer.
I've heard Austin HomeBrew Supply is reputable, as is Midwest Brewing, and Williams HomeBrewing.

I use a local shop "Learn2Brew" Learntobrew.com -- But I've never ordered from them online, I just make the trip to avoid shipping cost.

I love Brewmasters Warehouse. Ed is great to work with and very responsive. I do all grain so I haven't looked at their kit selection but give em a shot and you'll be pleased.

Plus they're in GA so shipping to NC would be next day most likely.

Did you talk to the owner of your local homebrew store? All too often, customers abandon local shops because of a perceived shortcoming that the man in charge is never even made aware of. A good homebrew store should be able to special order most ingredients, or a very close substitute, within a week (or two at a most) for you. There are a few oddball things that are very difficult for small homebrew stores to get ahold of, but most should easily be able to get 98% of all the stuff you could possibly want.

Of course, if they don't want to work with you once you've made your request, @#$% them and find a new store.

Well yes because when I walked in to buy ingredients I had a list and the owner was the one that sold me the other ingredients being a 6oz single galena hop IPA with Munich and biscuit grains. The original recipe had hop chinook and centennial he did not have. The next time I walked in I wanted to do another single hop IPA to learn the differencences in the hops. I asked if he had any Amarillo he said no and asked if I have ever used Galena and I told him he had already sold me on that one so I ended up buying 2 oz of magnum and 2oz of Mt. Hood.

All have treated me well and get my vote. Williamsbrewing, though having lots of choices, will not share recipes that are in their kits, making them useless to me. Kinda like mrbeer - dump a packet and go...
