I just bottled my first time with real bottles, not Mr Beer bottles, and had a quick question. My process went like this.
I would take one bottle, submerge it in Star San, pictures know another bottle out and empty it. I would fill it from the bottling bucket, cap it, then start all over. It gave me a contact time of 1.5 to 2 minutes.
While I was just finishing up my wife asks if I should rinse the bottles prior to filling. Her point was if the Star San is a sanitizer, won't it kill the yeast needed to carbinate? The more I think about it the more sense it makes. Need to know if it will be fine because I'll have another batch ready to bottle next weekend.
