Going to brew tomorrow but still need set up my SYL-2352 PIDs. I have one to measure mash temp and the other to control the heating elemen in my HERMS. I'm using a 2000w element of from 120v.

Could someone share with me the steps needed to get these up and running quickly?

Thank you

Let's start with this...

When I turn on the control panel the PIDs just flash crazy numbers/symbols. Not sure if this is the best way to describe it but that is the first things that comes to mind.

Is this normal or is it just because the PIDs are not set yup yet?

You have two identical posts - you may want to delete one.

Mine cycles through a bunch of numbers when I start it up, then works fine after about 2-5 seconds. Check out Kal's Website for some of the finer details on programing the initial values. Then run auto-tune with the brewery running exactly as you would normally have it during a brew day, only with water not wort.
