Hi,

I bought a Coopers european lager kit.

The intructions only tell you how to bottle it with Coopers carbonated drops.

I want to put it into my 5.5 gallon kingkeg - so how much normal cane sugar would i use to prime?

Does it work out about 1teaspoon per pint?

You can use one of the calculators to figure out how much can sugar you probably need for bottles. Kegs carbonate a bit differently, though. Typically, people use about half as much sugar to prime a keg as they would to prime an equivalent number of bottles, but this is somewhat inconsistent in my experience.

How is your "kingkeg" being fed? If it uses CO2 to force the liquid, then no need to prime it with sugar. If it isn't forced CO2, then you use the normal amount of priming sugar as you would for any 5.5 gallon batch. Beersmith and mrmalty have great calculators for figuring out how much priming sugar to use.

Yes it has one of the gas attachments on the top and i have the little Co2 bottles?

So does this mean i dont need to prime with sugar - just just the Co2?
