Not usually. Most people only use the co2 from the tank to do this.

You still can though. To know how much we'd need to know more about your kegging set up. Are you keeping the kegs cold and on gas or storing them outside a fridge? What about psi on your regulator?

well i just started getting into this and am doing an extract brew. the mac and jacks recipe. the beer is still in primary fermentation. i wasnt planning on putting the beer in the fridge for fermentation would i benefit from this in the secondary? i havent picked up the keg setup yet my buddy is bringing it by tomorrow.

No, I was only talking about the post fermented beer in the keg. Leave your fermenter as it is.

So you've decided to keg the first beer huh? Fwiw, I've got a bunch of bottles you could have if you wanted them.

well my buddy came over today and i showed him my first brew and he happened to tell me he has a corny keg setup. i have lots of bottles im probably going to bottle my first beer and probably keg some down the road.
