I read in some of the replies to this thread https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f35/party-pig-thoughts-178817/ that the priming sugar ratio for bottles versus pigs is different. Can someone elaborate on that? We are bottling (2) 5 gal AHB batches tonight that came with the measured priming sugar. My intent was to mix as usual in the bottling bucket and then fill (2) party pigs with the premixed beer/sugar and bottle the remainder.

Somebody stop me before I screw something up here! Thanks.

I dont know "exactly" about the pig, but I started using 5L kegs and they state very clearly on manufacturers instructions to not use more than 3gr of sugar per 1L of beer. Most people seem to prime them with about 20-25gr of sugar.

I have heard that if you prime it like normal, ie 3/4 cup of cornsuger then the sides of the keg will blow out. Im not sure how much stronger a party pig is.
