Hey, photo log of the beer that I made today. I was just trying to use up ingredients that I had.

5 Gal

7 lbs of pale 2 row
1 lb of caramel 60L
1 lb of biscuit malt
1 lb of oatmeal

1 oz of centennial @ 60 min
1 oz of cascade @ 20 min
1 oz of cascade@ burnout

mashed at 155 deg

Yea, I'll post a follow up in a month! The fermentation is taking off as per normal. Smells great and should be pretty darn good.
 
The title gave me an idea. Make a true "potluck ale". I could invite 3 or 4 friends over to brew. I provide the base malt and then each of them bring a specialty malt. They pick which one and how much. Then we put it all together and brew it, no matter what they are. Would be even funner if we didn't reveal what our choices for malts were until after it was done and we had the tasting.
 
Well, it's quite the brew! Very nice mouth feel and quite bitter. Nice orange color to it. Not bad for a "f*ck it" beer. I'll post pics with the next class.
