My homebrew club had our big brew day this Saturday and we had some leftover wort and I took 5 gallons home. This morning I got out my sealed carboy to get ready to use it this afternoon, and to my surprise there was a small Krausen on top!?
I’m sure it probably came from some sloppy sanitization on my part, however I had a question about re-boiling. If I want to reboil to kill off the previous yeast and other baddies in there, will this cause any issues?
For insight, I want to make a sour so my plan was to boil for 15 min and then chill to pitch probiotics at 110F. Allow to sour in kettle and then boil off lacto 24hours later. Then treat as a normal beer after this.
