I'm not sure what to think about their special releases since the last Sole Comp was unannounced. According to their last tweet, they'll have a 12% barleywine on tap this weekend though. I'm also waiting on the cherry version of Fantasia.

They just said they're releasing a new batch of Billy the Mountain on Monday. That is...not my favorite beer they make.

It's interesting with age, but just that...interesting.

Edit: not one of they're more highly touted beers, but Fatali Four is quite good and a bargain at the $12/bottle tasting room price for those who need an Upright fix.

To be honest I'm not entirely sure it's still there right now, but it was a couple weeks ago. It's never really been one to fly off the shelves.

Anybody know of any cool beer events happening around portland the week before or after the de garde event. I'll be coming up from Long Beach, CA for the de garde event and will be spending a good amount of time around Portland and greater OR.

Its not IN Portland, but Block 15 is still in bourbon month, and has a great taplist (as does les Caves) as well as bourbon selection on for it. If Corvallis is a possibility, im not sure I can recommend enough.
Big pluses; you can try some one offs from the several other local breweries in town, get great food to go with your great beer at Caves, and hit up Corvallis Brewing Supply for some great bottles.
Or just go to the ridiculous number of great bottle shops and taproom (and breweries) in PDX!

Dude, thanks so much, that is very informative. I'm definitely going to make it to Corvallis now! BTW, this will be my second time attending an event at your brewery. I drove up from SoCal last year for the 1st anniversary.

At the night job I work in Milwaukie, we frequently send somebody over there to pick up food since most other places are closed late. All joking aside, it's possibly the best deal on dead cow you can get in the city.

On a related note, is anyone on here going to the brewstillery event at stormbreaker? It's after the de Garde shenanigans so I'd assume not but there should be some good stuff there?

Sassy's in nice and next to Cascade/down the road from HotD, but if we're being honest degenerates here, Casa Diablo is in a whole other league. Took my buddy there for his bachelor party and we all had a blast. Goodbye $600
