I’m biased for obvious reasons, but can we talk about what is quite possibly the best tap takeover I’ve ever seen for one of the best breweries in our fine state?

Gin BA saison? ****. Looks like I'm going to LL this weekend.

Anyone interested in a De Garde trip on Saturday? Based on the current weather forecasts I'm thinking my best chance on Hood is going to be Thursday night into Friday, with a massive dump of snow scheduled Friday night. So I'm guessing Saturday is going to be a beer day, not a climbing one. I'll have a rental car so I could drive a few folks out there if that's of interest. This is very tentative at the moment, subject to change for a bunch of reasons, but figured I'd throw the idea out there.

Anyone heading out to.degarde tomorrow?

I think I'm going to go today (Friday), assuming that's what you meant by "tomorrow". Nixed the Hood climb when I got up to Timberline last night and it was swirling snow, high winds, and zero visibility. Didn't seem like it was worth the risk for a climb I've done before. Saturday I've got plans to meet up with a friend from school, so today works best for a De Garde visit. Thinking I'll leave Portland around 1:30. Did you (or anyone else) need a ride?

I'm going to hit Great Notion around opening (noon) and then leave from there for De Garde, barring a change of plans. If anyone wants to touch tips there and/or head to Tillamook, come on by.

Good on the ride thanks for the offer.

Ha - I should check this thread more often. I was out there and on the tour with all of you guys. Managed to get up to Meadows for opening day and then out to de Garde. Quality Oregon day. Good times. I was volunteering at HAF on Thursday pouring in the lounge, went yesterday for a couple hours, and am now just about to head back for the brunch and to clean up whatever is left over.

Anyone else see that Great Notion is planning on charging $100 for two 500 ml bottles of BA Double Stack in a wooden box with a glass and a bottle opener?

Iowa is coming to Oregon. Damn.
They actually released info on it instead of the 53 tease posts? ISO actual info.

PDX is definitely the best airport in the country. Besides being almost impossibly clean and the security line taking no time at all, there's great beer and food selection inside, and in particular there's some nice takeaway options once you're already past security at the Made In Oregon store. I grabbed a couple of pFriem ba stout bottles to carry on for home.
