BeeGee- Youve helped me too much for one day with recipes. :) the link didnt work, but since i know the full name now i googled it and came up with what i thinnk the link was on morebeer. i think that recipe would be a good starting point, but i dont see where the dark color would come from. i think i would add a little chocolate malt, switch out the light extract for the 20/80 munich/pale malt extrxt from austin homebrew to make a more malty flavor and perhaps add some special B malt to it, i dont think i would mess with the hop schedule though. i was hoping to get this brewed and done by x-mas to give to my Dad because it is one of his favorites, but it'll probably be too green still. man i wish i had some of those bottles ffor my homebrew, me and my dad drank 4 0r 5 of these last christmas day and i gave the bottles to a friend that homebrewed who is a lame a$$ now and stopped brewing. maybe i can get them back from him.

Sorry about the link...all that kind of wholesome stuff is FartSmiltered at work, so I have to use Google's cache and guess at the link! Once I get fired it shouldn't be an issue any longer.

Hoogstraten is definitely a good candidate for aging.

have tried this receipe and it tasted really yummy in my tummy.
