I'm a new member and hope this is the right place to post this. I just recently got a kegerator and loaded it with Sixpoint Bengali tiger IPA. I'm having trouble with pouring and foaming issues. I feel like I'm missing something stupid. I have tried all different pressures on the regulator. If I let the pressure out of the keg with the relief valve on top of keg not the regulator I get a good pour. What am I missing?? Thanks in advance !!
 
Sometimes the length of the tubing can be the issue with foaming. Is this the first keg you've ever done with this setup?
 
What's the temperature of the beer?

What's the PSI setting on the regulator?

What's the line length coming from the coupler to the tap shank?
 
Ok so I measured the line it is 46" long including going up into the tower. The pressure is currently at 10 psi on the regulator.
The temperature is 39 degrees.

It sounds like you would benefit from a longer line. 46" could leave you with a lot of foaming. I typically use about 8 feet for that pressure.

Also, is the line 3/16"?
 
Hose is cheap, start with 10 feet and work backwards until you get some foam. you can always cut more off, but it is hard to tape it back on.
 
So I went to a local brew store to buy some longer hose. The owner informed me that instead of lengthening the line I could just lower the pressure on the regulator. What I had missed was that when I was lowering the pressure on the regulator I wasnt releasing the pressure in the keg so there was still more pressure in the keg than needed. Thanks for all your guys help. Much Appreciated.
