So i have some random hops laying around and a spare packet of nottingham was hoping to get a 3 gal batch going on the cheap. I live close to my LHBS so can get ahold of about anything.

I have 1 oz german hallertau, .5 oz czech saaz, and .5 oz us goldings.

Oh and its gonna be a extract brew and i wouldn't mind picking up some steeping grains. HELP!

On the cheap? How about a German Weiss? You can use the noble hops for that, won't need anything more than an ounce.

You could make a pretty nice Irish Red with some extract, a half or 3/4 pound of roast barley (steeping) and 1/2 to 3/4 oz hallertau or goldings at 60 min.
