What is a better chiller. All copper counterflow

or one with rubber hose?

If the inner copper tube is the same diameter and length, the performance will be nearly identical. Heat transfer to air from the outer tube will be negligible, IMO.

The Chillzilla design is pretty efficient. I always wondered why they didn’t add a little more length to the design.

I have one of the Zchillers. It's as fast as any plate I ever used with none of the clogging and hard to clean problems.

I have this one and I love it. I make a lot of hoppy beers and ran into clogging and doubt as to the cleanliness of my plate chiller. The counter flow has none of those issues

To clarify I have the copper one from more beer

Performance will favor the copper model, maintenance will favor the stainless version.
But one can manage performance via throttling, so I'd go with the stainless chiller...
